VUA's radiation oncology partners are one of Phoenix's most experienced, and best trained in delivering IMRT/IGRT radiation for prostate cancer, bladder cancer, and testis cancer. We employ Varian's linear accelerators that improves dose conformity while significantly shortening treatment times.

Urologic Oncology
Urologic Oncology involves all of the genitourinary cancers. Many are treated surgically, and some are treated with our Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology colleagues.
Endourology
Endourology involves the use of endoscopy (small cameras that allow us to visuallize into the bladder and kidney), generally to remove kidney stones. However, we also address congenital ureteral strictures (narrowing, ureteropelvic junction obstruction).
Gynecologic Urology
Gynecologic Urology emphasizes medical and surgical treatment of female urological disorders, such as descent of the bladder (cystocele), prolapse (enterocele, rectocele), and female urinary incontinence (stress and urgency incontinence).
Andrology and Infertility Urology
Andrology and infertility includes the treatment of male factor infertility in conjunction with our colleagues in Obstetrics who perform In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intracytoplasmic Injection of Sperm (ICSI). The urologist evaluates the male for problems related to sperm production, function and quality. Disorders of the male hormone balance such as low testosterone levels and sexual dysfunction are also addressed..
Reconstructive Urology
Reconstructive Urology emphasizes surgical reconstruction of acquired urethral and bladder abnormalities. These usually include urethral strictures, bladder reconstruction due to removal for cancer and general urologic trauma.
Pediatric Urology
Dr. Ben Donovan, who is a fellowship-trained urologist is especially tuned to address pediatric urologic conditions. He has extensive experience and work-class training that he brings to the Phoenix Valley and to Valley Urologic Associates. He mainly sees children but he also sees adults and practice in adult general urology. Please feel free to call for an appointment should you have any questions about your child.
